>A lot went on this past Memorial Day Weekend, so here’s a quick recap.

The Boston Bruins made their first Stanley Cup Finals since 1990, after Nathan Horton scored with 7:33 left in Game 7 against the Tampa Bay Lightning. Boston will go on to play the Vancouver Canucks in the final with Game 1 starting Wednesday night at 8:00 PM ET.

Mariano Rivera gives up 3 hits and a walk in his appearence in the 12th inning against the Mariners to lose the game. Seattle takes 2 out of 3 against the Yankees behind strong pitching from young phenon Michael Pineda and ace Felix Hernandez.

Barcelona wins the ChampionsLeague Final against Manchester United, 3-1.

David Ortiz had a pinch hit Home Run in the 9th inning against the Detroit Tigers to give the Red Sox a 4-3 win in the 1st game of a doubleheader that day. Later in the day though, Justin Verlander threw a 7.2 innings of shutout baseball to give the Tigers a 3-0 win.

The New York Mets beat down the Phillies 9-5 behind 17 hits, 4 of them coming from Jose Reyes who went 4-5 with 2 triples, a run and a RBI. Reyes is on pace for 53 doubles and 25 triples this season, which would make him the 1st player to ever reach 50 doubles and 25 triples in a season. Stan Musial is the only player in Major League history to record 50 doubles and 20 triples in a season when he did it back in 1946.

Hip-Hop Singer Sean Kingston crashed into a bridge while jet-skiing down in Miami Beach. Kingston and and another passenger were taken to the hospital, Kingston being in much worse condition then the passenger. After being in critical condition for a while, Kingston has appeared to make some progress and should hopefully be okay.

Ohio State football coach Jim Tressel resigns after months of being caught in the middle of a scandal between football players and illegal activity. Tressel leaves after 10 years with Ohio State and a 106-22 record, along with 8 BCS games in that 10 year span. Luke Fickell has been named the head coach for the 2011 season.

The Toronto Blue Jays beat the Cleveland Indians 11-1, but the biggest story here is that pitcher Jo-Jo Reyes of the Blue Jays finally ended his streak of win-less games. Reyes received his 1st win since 2008 after throwing a complete game in which he only gave up 1 run.
