Big Move in the NHL today, Connor catchs us up to speed:

As of May 31, 2011 the Trashers are headed to Winnipeg. It was announced at a new conference Tuesday at MTS Centre in Winnipeg. The deal is worth $170 million and also a 60 million relocation fee that would be split by the rest of the league. Winnipeg has been without NHL hockey since the Jets moved to Phoenix in 1996. The Atlanta Thrashers entered the NHL three years later as an expansion team. Main reasons for the move the franchise’s attendance ranked 28th out of the 30 teams with an average attendance of less than 14,000. Now its up to management to figure out the team name and us hockey fans are hoping to see the Jets back on the ice for the 2011-2012 season.
